Senator Charles W. Morse
District 22

Sen. Charles "Chuck" Morse, a Republican, was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November 2002. Previously, he served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives for two terms.

Morse is vice chairman of the Transportation Committee, and is a member of the both the Capital Budget and the Public Affairs committees.

He is the president of Freshwater Farms Nursery and Garden Center in Atkinson. 

Morse has been active in local and state politics and has served as a selectman in Salem. For two terms he also fulfilled the role of  town moderator. He received the Bill Brown Distinguished Business Person of the Year Award in 1997, and the Richard P. McCoy Award from the Salem Boys and Girls Club in 1994.

Morse was recently honored by the New Hampshire Business Council with the Legislator Recognition Award for his legislative successes on issues relating to the business community, the economy and fiscal matters. He also received the prestigious John P. Ganley Award in recognition of his service to the community and for his support of the Salem Boys and Girls Club.

Morse earned a bachelor of science degree from Plymouth State University. He resides in Salem with his wife, Susan, and their daughter.
