Sen. John Gallus, a Republican, was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November 2002. Previously, he served for three terms as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and was majority caucus whip for two of those terms. Gallus serves as chairman of the Wildlife and Recreation Committee and is a member of the Energy and Economic Development Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee. His legislative priorities include education funding and finding ways to make government more accessible and responsive to the citizens of the state. Gallus is a RealtorŪ in Berlin, New Hampshire. He is a member and past president of the North Country Board of RealtorsŪ and a former vice chairman of the Berlin Zoning Board. A lifelong resident of Berlin, Gallus and his wife, Peggy, have one son. Gallus is a graduate of Concord Commercial College.
